project 2 160x160mm Robotic drawing

For this assignment, I had a pretty big creative block. I couldn’t figure out how to make my artwork fit the requirements while still being creative. Eventually, I pulled inspiration from my sculpture work and Lionel cuts, which helped me start visualizing my ideas, even though my knowledge of Grasshopper is still pretty limited.   I kept running into blocks where I’d try something, it wouldn’t work, and I’d have to start over or spend hours trying to fix it. I’m also still trying to remember stuff from earlier classes, which hasn’t been easy. These assignments are so different from what I’m used to, so it’s been tough to adjust.  Once I started getting the hang of Grasshopper, though, I could see the potential. Honestly, if I had a couple more weeks, I think I could’ve made some really cool pieces. It’s exciting to think about what I could do with more time and practice.

I think I messed with them at some point over the summer, and it just caused so many problems. The camera kept locking onto the wrong objects, and sometimes I couldn’t even move around a mesh properly. It was super frustrating to deal with while trying to work on everything. I a...
